Position Summary:

The Project Manager role oversees and manages complex projects from the initial planning phase to successful delivery. The Project Manager will liaise between project team members, cross-functional departments, external vendors, and various stakeholders to ensure effective communication of project deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs, and meeting plans. Utilizing appropriate tools and methodologies, the Project Manager will create project timelines, define tasks, set milestones, and establish deadlines. Additionally, the Project Manager will be crucial in facilitating project meetings, aligning teams with project objectives, and monitoring task completion status. The role requires adept resource allocation, budget management, and proactive identification of potential risks.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of projects according to the established plan and timeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with clients to understand and fulfill their project requirements.
  • Take ownership of collecting and analyzing customer satisfaction data to drive improvements.
  • Engage in strategic long-term planning with clients to foster business development opportunities.
  • Maintain daily communication with clients, addressing delivery and quality-related aspects.
  • Prepare and present proposals in response to Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for new business.
  • Handle inquiries and correspondence related to RFQs, negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Conduct negotiations with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Facilitate collections and manage financial aspects of the projects.
  • Coordinate and manage forecasts received from clients.
  • Receive and oversee the management of Master Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely delivery.
  • Effectively manage changes with clients, including date adjustments, quantity modifications, and terms changes.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure client requests align with Commercial Agreements and verify configuration control.
  • Complete project planning and generate comprehensive work order packages.
  • Validate engineering packages, especially for new parts or components.
  • Oversee the ramp-down phase of projects, including the disposition of customer-owned assets.
  • Maintain a strong focus on adherence to schedules and master plans.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong ability to plan effectively, make informed decisions, and achieve project goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities concurrently.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Eligibility to work for U.S. government contractors and subcontractors.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically as required.
  • Availability to work weekends when necessary.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management or a related field.
  • Preferred experience in project management within the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry.

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Technical Field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $77600.00 to $116400.00 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
