Insitu has an immediate need for a Material Program Manager (MPM). This role will be responsible for managing product delivery requirements and forecasting within Operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery to our customers. Inventory optimization and creating synergies in the supply chain. They act as the primary conduit of information between Supply Chain, Programs, Engineering, Materials and Production. Responsibilities are product line focused, and span released products in sustainment as well as new product introduction and pilot builds. Supporting proposals, analysis of service sparing, failure modes and trend analysis, and MRO material requirements.

This role will coordinate critical activities related to hardware planning, procurement, and manufacturing for Insitu Launch and Recovery Equipment.

This role is highly cross functional and has a significant impact on delivering on our customer commitments. They will work with Program Managers, Project Engineering Specialists, Supply Chain Analysts, Procurement Agents, Material Planners, Manufacturing Engineers, and other stakeholders to mitigate outstanding supply, quality and design issues that would prevent successful deliveries. Ensure material requirements are fulfilled and any technical or programmatic dependencies are met in order to achieve successful on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Directly accountable for ensuring program/ product line product delivery execution planning and fulfillment to support program success to cost/schedule/quality.
  • Coordinates, monitors, supports the product material planning and execution of operations to ensure on-time delivery across all contracts within the product line.
  • Works with the program, engineering managers, planning and supply chain to establish development and procurement strategy to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Develops and executes project plans and coordinates supply chain activities to include planning, procurement, production and delivery. Establishes program material risk and opportunity management plans and mitigation steps
  • Monitors, documents and reports the product's implementation timelines, issues, risks, mitigation and successes to stakeholders.
  • Manages supply chain requirements for new product development to ensure critical delivery schedules and customer commitments are met.
  • Develops baseline production schedule; identifies key issues and barriers with recommendations for mitigation and possible process improvements.
  • Interfaces with customer Program Managers, leadership, and production operations teams to manage production priorities to support delivery schedules, achieve project cost targets, and assure quality of delivered product.
  • Manages communication with engineering while adapting to necessary design changes; pivot build plan(s) to accommodate as needed and mitigating risks to schedule.
  • Provides leadership in creating retrofit plans, obsolescence planning for cut in and aggregating LTB demands.
  • Manages material risk and material revenue forecasts in support of product lines.
  • Participates in Make/Buy/Where decisions.
  • Works vertically and across organization to help ensure coordination and alignment, ensuring all stakeholders are executing to the same plan and that it is well understood.
  • Leads assigned personnel on daily tasking and priorities, and coordinates with their direct management to for feedback and to ensure projects are staffed appropriately.

  • Ability to support, lead and delegate the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Effectively manages and mitigates risk that may impact product delivery and customer commitments.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in supply chain, program management or operations.
  • Advanced degree or certification in operations, program management or supply chain management preferred.
  • Experience with procurement, MRP, supplier management, and/or subcontract management systems and tools.
  • Project or product management experience to include Earned Value Management and working knowledge of associated operations metrics / Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Project, Word, Excel, Power Point)

This is a hybrid role based in Bingen, WA.

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.

Typical Hiring Range: 97,000.00 - 133,100.00
