Job Summary:
The Research Services department in Bucknell University's Library and Information Technology division invites applications for a liaison librarian position to support departments including Engineering, Computer Science, and the Natural Sciences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working collaboratively with members of a university community: with faculty, to build collections and design meaningful information literacy experiences for their students; with students: both in and out of the classroom, to help them find and understand what they need to succeed academically and intellectually; with library staff: a talented group, committed to Bucknell's academic mission; and with other Bucknell departments and divisions: to provide services and resources that support students as they learn, grow, and develop. The successful candidate will also have a strong interest in exploring the role of artificial intelligence in higher education libraries and information technology organizations. While this position works closely with students and usually requires an on-campus presence, the role does allow for flexibility to engage in some remote work, particularly when students are not on campus.
