Job Description

The Client Legal Services Attorney Director oversees the representation of insureds and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuit and subrogation cases. The Director participates in strategy conferences with Claims leadership on complex matters.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and determine strategy for legal issues sent to Home Office

* Manage a multi-million dollar (6 - 28 million) for 3-9 offices in 1-8 states

* Perform broad budget oversight and determination

* Accountable for draft, review, and/or negotiation of complex matters and agreements; delegate negotiation responsibilities to lower level employees throughout department

* Monitor and review new laws, regulations, and case law; identify and counsel business unit about relevant issues; collaborate with other areas of L&R department

* Delegate due diligence responsibilities to overall department Law Clerks, Paralegals, and/or other Attorneys

* Develop business unit wide standards for legal advice/counseling

* Monitor allocated legal expenses, track factors that drive variations, and collaborate with claims clients regarding status of contributing factors

Education

* 4 year Bachelors Degree (Required)

* Juris Doctor (Required)

Experience

* 12 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

* This job has supervisory duties.

* In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $187,950 - 241,500 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
