Are you a hardworking problem-solver with plumbing knowledge? The Department of General Services (DGS) is currently seeking a Plumber 1 for our Energy Resource Management Office. This position gives you the opportunity to perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, replacement, and installation work on plumbing and piping systems, components, and fixtures within DGS owned or managed facilities. As a Plumber 1, you will perform a variety skilled plumbing duties independently and as a team with other trades persons or supervisors. You will utilize the tools of your trade for maintenance, repair, and installation of water and sewer lines, as well as kitchen, bathroom, and laundry fixtures within commonwealth owned facilities in the Harrisburg region. You will have the opportunity to read and interpret blueprints, collaborate with your team on complex assignments, and assist in repairing steam distribution and condensate systems and equipment.
