This position is covered by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) of 1965. The pay rate and health and welfare allowance are determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor and are specified in the applicable Wage Determination agreement.

BVTI is seeking an experienced Data Quality Clerk to provide direct support to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the areas of data entry, digitization, document conversion, quality management, records management, and mail services. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for details and thoroughness to ensure critical deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare source data for entry by opening and sorting mail, verifying, and logging receipt of data, and obtaining missing data.
- Ensure the quality of work complies with the contract performance requirements.
- Initiate, recommend, and/or provides solutions to prevent the occurrence of product
non-conformity.
- Verify image, indexing, and data extraction quality from multiple media sources (e.g., paper, CDs, microfiche, microfilm, facsimile, direct uploads).
- Perform paper to image reconciliation of converted materials.
- Validate process step compliance in source material conversion.
- Validate source material receipt and post-conversion de-preparation packaging.
- Provide remote support for quality surveillance on VBMS image quality.
- Ability to work with a small team while also possessing the ability to work independently without supervision.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Proficient in using MS Teams and Google Chat.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs is strongly desired.
- Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Intimate understanding of data entry, document conversion, digitization, and records management in a federal government setting.
- Experience in quality assurance and/or quality control roles.
- Additional certifications, education, and/or relevant training will be taken into consideration and weighed appropriately when extending an offer.

- Be able to remain in a stationary, seated position for most of a standard work shift.

- Be able to occasionally crouch or kneel under a desk to perform routine workstation cleaning.
- Be able to occasionally move and traverse inside the office to access file cabinets and work resources.
Compensation and Benefits
This position is regulated by the Department of Labor (DOL) as a Service Contract Act (SCA) contract. The DOL sets regulations and guidelines for the minimum hourly rate of pay, holiday and vacation leave benefits, and the amount of health and welfare allowance used to offset the employer's costs of benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.). The compensation and benefits for the SCA role at BVTI will be in accordance with the applicable wage rates and benefits specified by the Department of Labor for the specific job classification and location. Any unused portion of the health and welfare allowance will be paid out in the employee's paycheck.
