BVTI is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead a small team of Quality Clerks providing direct support to the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) in the areas of data entry, digitization, document conversion, quality management, records management, and mail services. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for details and thoroughness along with managerial skills conducive to overseeing a team and working independently to ensure critical deadlines are met. Acting as BVTI's point of contact, you must maintain excellent client communication exhibiting excellent customer service and the ability to be able to manage changing requirements and priorities across the team.

Position Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the PM by serving as the lead POC for the assigned contract, overseeing a team of Quality Clerks in successful delivery of services across all assigned task areas including, but not limited to, data entry, document conversion, digitization, and records management.
  • Participate in weekly scheduled calls with the customer and/or vendor.
  • Continually assess operations to ensure the quality of work complies with the contract performance requirements, foreseeing any need to initiate, recommend, approve, and/or provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of product non-conformity.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the team to ensure proper staffing is assigned to each quality assessment task required to meet daily and weekly performance goals.
  • Provide remote support and supervision for tasks assigned outside of the vendor's physical location.
  • Measure and report on vendor systems availability.
  • Apply supervisory experience to positively encourage, mentor, and motivate a team who is performing routine and repetitive tasks exhibiting an awareness to demonstrate expertise in team dynamics, conflict management, and quality management concepts.
  • Routinely provide guidance and performance feedback to team members.
  • Monitor, gather, and analyze data related to quality and work performance to share efficiency and improvements with the PM.
  • Routinely monitor and manage the operation of the office environment to include reviewing, correcting, and approving time sheets; assessing and maintaining needed inventory; and ensuring project documents (checklists, job aids, and standard operating procedures) are kept current and being followed by the team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (substitutions possible based on depth of supervisory experience). Additional certifications, education, and/or relevant training will be taken into consideration and weighed appropriately when extending an offer.
  • Four years of management experience.
  • Intimate understanding of data entry, document conversion, digitization, and records management in a federal government setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Proficient in using MS Teams and Google Chat.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.
