Job Description

Job Purpose

To assist the facilities department in day-to-day operations

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily, weekly, & monthly janitorial, housekeeping and facility maintenance duties.
    • Activities will include stocking & cleaning of common areas, window, power washing, etc.
    • Facility maintenance duties to include completion of some minor Maintenance Work Orders and some basic Preventative Maintenance.
    • Includes maintaining cleanliness of factory aisles and the equipment needed to perform task
    • Includes maintain cleanliness of air return filters throughout facility
  • Log completed tasks in SAP maintenance module and/or check sheets.
  • Perform minor repair projects, i.e. drywall, caulking, lights, door handles, light plumbing, HVAC filter change, etc.
  • Assist with major repair projects, i.e. office rearrangement, machine moves, etc.
  • Assist with new equipment installation.
  • Move furniture, filing cabinets, etc.
  • Operate fork lift - up to medium loads.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Characteristics

  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to follow set schedules unsupervised.
  • Ability to work off a eight foot ladder
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good knowledge of industrial safe work practices.
  • Safe fork lift operation experience a plus but not necessary.
  • Painting skills a plus but not necessary.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Have a valid driver license.

Working Conditions

Indoor production environment, work outside may be required, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts. Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations required, overtime dependent on business need.

Physical requirements

Frequent repetitive hand movements, using hand tools - pliers, sanders, scissors, etc

Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time

Frequently move about the facility indoors as well as outdoors to make repairs, etc...

Constantly positions self to repair/build equipment and/or facility

Frequently ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment and/or complete a building repair

Must be able to detect equipment issues and assess for repairs

Regularly move tools and equipment up to >25 lbs.
