Responsibilities

Peraton's Procurement Organization is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager. The Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    As a key member of our Procurement team, you will be responsible for leading and managing varying engagements within our Indirect spend in areas such as: IT Services, Software, Telecom, and Hardware.
  • This role will engage with all relevant stakeholders and build a strong advisory partnership with the Functional Leaders and provide direct management of a team of four.
  • This role reports directly to the Procurement Operations Senior Director
  • Guides sourcing staff to create sourcing solutions in support of overall tech strategy.
  • Helps procurement team and stakeholders create thoughtful category and supplier strategies.
  • Develop cost savings and strategic sourcing projects while ensuring business continuity and high level of supplier performance.
  • Manage spend, supplier, and market data from resources to effectively analyze both savings opportunity and value chain impacts.
  • Lead all levels of supplier market RFI / RFP activities, including execution, readouts and business case implications.
  • Meet with potential participants, both incumbents and non-incumbents, answer RFP related questions from vendors, analyze RFP results and support final vendor(s) awards.
  • Drive annual productivity improvements in each category of spend by developing and ensuring implementation of ideas to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) for spend categories.
  • Support development of new policies and procedures to drive savings and lead organizational and operational change management within managed categories of spend.
  • Support as well as lead sourcing events, including vendor sourcing, vendor and contract negotiations.
  • Bring sourcing efficiency to all activity; define specific roadmaps containing prioritization of sourcing categories as well as expanding e-procurement catalogs.
  • Lead research and analytics efforts to both validate savings projections and enable more precise supplier negotiations.
  • Review major contracts for key areas of spend and act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) resource for planning and leading complex negotiations or re-supply modeling.
  • Develop and communicate functional supply chain or sourcing strategy to a diverse group of managers and senior level professionals.
  • Create alignment with group and articulate broader procurement transformation.
  • Source suppliers and build a best-in-class supply chain; cultivate and manage relationships with best-in-class suppliers.
  • Fully utilize all strategic levers within sourcing process and find new paths to value.
  • Utilize supplier management and continuous improvement methodologies with key suppliers.
  • Work cross functionally to deliver sourcing and procurement cost savings, risk mitigation projects, and supplier enabled innovation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent), and at least 12 years of experience working in procurement, supply chain, and material management.
  • At least 5 years in management
  • Proven skills in interpretation of various contract types and master level agreements (IDIQ, BOA, MSA)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and refined time management skills.
  • Critical thinker who questions status quo and drives compliance through progressive methods.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Desire and motivation to stay on top of emerging trends in industry and government, developing firm yet agile response to compliance requirements.
  • Experience in process improvement, training, and compliance.

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
