Inside the Role

IT Systems Architect III in the E4 Test Center is focusing on functional enhancements and development of new system requirements for locally developed applications. You will be required to execute a lead developer role and contribute to all phases of the on-going projects within the Engineering Test Center Team as needed. Tasks will include but not be limited to project management, requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, and testing.
-EDMS Database development, maintenance and support
-Develop and support data handling and processing applications
-Develop and support control interfaces for test cell host computers
-Support EPA 1065 calculations, including GHG
-Test and migrate MS SQL Server 2008 database to 2016 and future environments
-Modernize EDMS to work with MS Office 2016 and use SQL database
-Develop error checking capability for test data processing and report creation in ARG
-Store additional test header and uncorrected emissions data in SQL database (Hyper Digitalization "Where's My Data?" initiative)
-Develop application for parsing and importing RG data into SQL database (Hyper Digitalization Initiative)
-Add additional data entry capability to support new KPIs in PDB
-Migrate VB6 applications to .NET while redirecting from ACCDB to SQL-DB
-Application modernization
-Develop process and tools for cataloging various log files from test cell host computer
-Develop application to convert test cell header parameters to MVA norm names in test files
-Develop process and tool for cataloging iTest event based console logs

Position offers a starting salary range of$98,500 - $126,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards
  • Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications
  • Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings
  • Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in job field and working knowledge of related disciplines
  • Uses analytical thought to independently solve complex problems with minimal guidance and identify solutions
  • May lead team or department projects or work streams within broader projects
  • Acts as an advisor to management and key external stakeholders on job field related projects
  • Acts as a resource and guide for colleagues with less experience
  • Uses experience to contribute to standards in which others will operate
