What you'll do

In this support role on AlixPartners' Corporate Services team, you will directly assist our People Business Partners on a wide range of tasks related to day-to-day functions and operations, as well as project work to support the team's strategic agenda.

The People Team Administrator is a temporary role (approximately 6 months) in Dallas, TX or Southfield, MI, and reports to a People Business Partner Manager. Paid relocation is not available for this contract role.

  • Respond to staff inquiries regarding human resources-related matters and proactively troubleshoot as appropriate.
  • Maintain employee information within internal databases and systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage employee transactions, including transfers and leaves of absence.
  • Handle people team reporting requests, including synthesizing data in a digestible format.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including, but not limited to, drafting communications, coordinating review sessions, organizing materials, and managing data.
  • Provide support in employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Coordinate training initiatives with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Assist in designing and implementing people-related ad hoc programs, such as networking and social events, panel discussions, and others, to facilitate employee engagement, inclusion, and development.
  • Contribute to firmwide initiatives and process improvements within the people space.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience in Human Resources, ideally in a professional services firm.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.
  • Familiarity with Human Capital Management (HCM) software is a plus (e.g. Oracle, Workday, SAP, Ultipro, ADP, etc.).
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers at all levels.
  • Ability to be discreet and handle confidential, sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of initiative.
  • Desire to learn new skills and continuously improve.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
