SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position is responsible for enrolling Medicare providers that are electronic billers, for access to complete Direct Data Entry (DDE) into the Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS). The incumbent will process requests, annual re-certifications, and change requests to existing DDE login identification numbers. This includes data entry, database management, inventory control, and phone contact to the providers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Process DDE enrollment requests accurately and timely for all new and existing DDE customers. 35%
* Log, validate, and process DDE enrollment requests from providers.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with Medicare and company policy and procedures. Review the Medicare claims processing systems to determine relevant profile information.
* The incumbent conducts research to obtain complete information and assesses the requests.
* Access, review, and update the Oracle Database System, eDoc, and FISS System.

Maintain the Provider Security Oracle Database System 35%
* Update the database to ensure all customer data is accurate and detailed for integrity and statistical reporting purposes.

Communicate effectively. This position displays effective communication skills while performing the following functions: 15%
* Interface with provider offices on DDE enrollment issues.
* Interface with EDI staff regarding the DDE enrollment process.
* Interface with System Security team and Companion Data Services (CDS) Security team.

Complete DDE support calls, as needed, concerning the DDE enrollment process. 10%
* Assist customers in the enrollment process and provide status on forms submitted by customers.
* Contact providers to review enrollment form errors and explain correction procedures. Log call information into the Oracle Database System for tracking and provider notification purposes.

Perform other duties and assignments in support of the goals and objectives of Novitas Solutions, Inc., and EDI Services, as directed. This includes, but is not limited to, various administration tasks for the department. 5%

Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma or GED
* 1 year work experience working on a PC in a Microsoft Windows or similar environment
* Data entry experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 1 year Medicare experience
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated problem solving and research skills
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills


The Federal Government and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) may require applicants to have lived in the United States for a minimum of three (3) years out of the last five (5) years to be employed with the Company. These years of residence do not have to be consecutive.
