Summary of Job Duties:As an HR Analyst specializing in benefits, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our employees receive competitive and comprehensive benefits packages. You will analyze benefit programs, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of employee benefits.

Responsibilities:
1.Benefits Administration:
oManage day-to-day administration of Family Medical Leave, Worker's Compensation, and employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
oEnsure accurate record-keeping of leave data and transactions.
oCollaborate with payroll to ensure seamless leave payout payments, benefit deductions, and with the Controller's Office with employee benefits billing process.
oCoordinate and maintain the University Vehicle Safety Program
2.Analysis and Reporting:
oConduct regular analysis of employee time records and limited benefits to assess competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.
oPrepare reports and presentations on all leave types and assigned benefits programs.
3.Compliance and Policy Management:
oStay updated on federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits, including retirement programs.
oEnsure benefits programs comply with legal requirements and standards.
oDevelop and update leave policies and procedures.
oInterprets leave policies and procedures and assists timekeepers, managers, and employees.
4.Communication and Employee Support:
oServe as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits.
oConduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and assist open enrollment processes.
oAttend meetings and workshops about benefits, federal compliance, and federal/state guidelines and regulations.
5.Vendor Management:
oCoordinate with benefit plan providers, physicians, the
oUniversity of AR System Office, and other business entities.
6. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Analyst, Benefits Specialist, or similar role, with a focus on benefits administration and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite.
