Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

1. Utilizes materials management information systems to set up and maintain a replenishment strategy in assigned care areas.
2. Assures proper inventory levels are maintained of the appropriate supplies to meet the needs of the individual department being served.
3. Maintains a clean and organized working environment both in the clean utility/supply rooms serving the nursing staff as well as the Warehouse.
4. Prints, picks, and delivers special order items from Warehouse.
5. Assists receiving team in the disbursement of Non-Warehouse supplies as needed on delivery days.
6. Participates in fiscal year inventory counts.
7. Assists during staffing shortages by picking up additional care areas from the absent employee.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
2. 2 years of experience in inventory management is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels or hospital staff, patients, visitors.
2. Strong understanding of basic arithmetic
3. Strong organizational skills.
4. Able to perform physically demanding work on your feet for the majority of an 8 hour shift.
5. Able to utilize mechanical tools to move and manipulate heavy and large items.
