Brief Description:

The Associate Director, Global Compliance & Ethics Policy, Communications & Learning reports to the Vice President, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer and is responsible for executing Jazz's Compliance & Ethics [referred to as I-CARE (Integrity, Compliance, Accountability, Respect and Ethics)] program's objectives related to policy governance and maintenance, employee communications, and formal learning plan. This role works with the department leadership team to develop and execute innovative processes and technologies to advance the governance framework for Jazz's healthcare compliance policies, procedures (SOPs), guidance materials, JazzCentral internet resources, and associated learning ecosystem.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Support the development and deployment of the long-term training, policy, and communications strategy for the I-CARE program, while performing the day-to-day tasks required
  • Oversee Jazz's global I-CARE policy governance framework
  • Setup and lead a cross-functional I-CARE Policy Management Network, in collaboration with global business functions and I-CARE business partners
  • Ensure a current inventory of global, regional, and local I-CARE policies
  • Ensure that all I-CARE global regional and local policies are consistent in style, and top-level policies are easily accessible globally by all employees and certain contractors, subcontractors, and agents
  • Conduct regular and periodic reviews of I-CARE policies, SOPs, and guidelines to ensure that content is current and as appropriate, assign responsibilities to draft, update, or retire materials
  • Establish strategies for communicating regular policy changesand ensure that training and other relevant materials are updated accordingly
  • Identify and implement innovative technologies and solutions to aid with policy design and management
  • Facilitate regular updates to the Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc Code of Conduct and ensure that employees certify to receiving and reading the Code and disclose (if appropriate) relevant conflicts of interest when they join the Company, on an annual basis, and when the Code is amended
  • Assist functional leadership team to develop a role-based global I-CARE learning curriculum that is relevant to the business, practical in design, and demonstrates a thoughtful approach around internal and external compliance risk
  • Manage and periodically update I-CARE's annual global learning curriculum for new hires and existing employees and agents
  • Oversee the development and regular updates and modifications to I-CARE learning content
  • Manage required approvals and assignments in Jazz's document management and learning management systems, and serve as Training Coordinator for the function, if needed
  • Identify and implement new training tools, learning platforms, technologies, and work products
  • Provide subject matter expertise to I-CARE business partners and monitoring and auditing team members on matters related to compliance policy and training
  • Participate in certain Risk Assessment and remediation activities with a focus on risk mitigation strategies involving policies and training/learning
  • Develop and maintain a central repository of compliance resources and materials for use by other members of the I-CARE team and other functions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive healthcare compliance experience with a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company or within the life sciences industry required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Anti-Kickback Statute, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), False Claims Act (FCA), United Kingdom Bribery Act 2010 (Bribery Act), OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials, Privacy, Transparency, and relevant industry guidance, specifically PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals and EFPIA Disclosure Requirements
  • Experience with managing policies and education using established tools and learning concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion on-time and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to interact with Jazz employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong document management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently as the circumstances require
  • Highest level of ethics and personal integrity

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree or compliance certification preferred
