A Production Planner job is available with a manufacturing client in Miamisburg, Ohio. The Production Planner is responsible for assuring the production team meets scheduled goals. This entails a wide range of oversight including planning, scheduling, directing, and executing production activities. In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining acceptable and accurate inventory levels such as the facilitation, distribution, and processing of parts, equipment, and related materials to ensure flexible and fast responses to sales, service and customer needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan, schedule, direct, and execute production activities.
* Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, and equipment.
* Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
* Support Purchasing efforts, including as backup when needed.
* Ensure labor hours are tracked and reported accurately.
* Collects data for monthly/quarterly repair analysis reports (data from multiple sources).
* Processes and maintains inventory adjustments and investigates as required.
* Supports Inventory Control activities as needed.
* Tests new procedures in E21.
* Provides support and back-up for stock room/warehouse/shipping & receiving and other departments as necessary.
* Administrative support as necessary.
* Additional duties as requested by the Manufacturing Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2-year degree or equivalent experience.
* 1-3 years" experience in operations.
* Experienced with Microsoft Office suite including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
* Experienced operating within an ISO 9000 quality system.
* Familiar with lean manufacturing.
* Able to multi-task, prioritize, and perform a variety of tasks.
* Able to read and interpret drawings/schematics and BOMs.
* Positive interpersonal and relationship building skills.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
