ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:

  • For Service, Technical Support, Marketing & Sales Roles: Additional compensation is available through either an Incentive and/or Commission Plan.
  • For Employees who reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California, additional compensation is offered through a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA).

POSITION SUMMARY:

The individual in this position will be responsible for a variety of Administrative, logistics, and execution/fulfillment activities associated with Service inventory processing.

Provide administrative and production support to the PM Kit program including forecasting purchasing needs, production assembly, PM Kit inventory controls/movement.

The incumbent is responsible for tracking, controlling and maintaining records for all inventory transactions, which may include: FSP orders, Service backorders, Service part returns, SIT cost additional orders and Service MFG Orders.

This position will provide support assistance to the General Manager of Service Operations in accomplishing the Service Division business needs.

Requires significant communication and teamwork to accomplish the business needs.

Must be able to independently lift & carry parts up to 50 pounds. For parts, etc, above 50 pounds and up to 60 pounds, special support will be provided to assist with carrying and lifting. Be able to process/ship packages via FedEx/UPS power ship. The individual must be able to work independently and at a fast and consistent pace.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. To provide direct assistance/support to the General Manager - Service Operations. (daily)
  2. To expedite and if necessary reroute all FSP/SSP orders and Transfer of inventory parts returned on RGA/RMA process. (daily)
  3. Work closely with HDQ and Regional Service Administrators to ensure accurate and prompt response to changes to orders and parts returns. This includes requesting and processing inventory reductions. (daily)
  4. Communicate order status to field service personnel. (daily)
  5. Maintain necessary files and provide reports to management, includes inventory reports. (monthly)
  6. Perform necessary phone support functions for the department. (daily)
  7. Backup support for Service call processing/invoicing in GP. (monthly)
  8. Communicate to Purchasing department inventory requirements to maintain/fulfill Service needs. (weekly)
  9. Assist GM Service Operations on conducting physical inventory audits, cycle counts, Corporate Inventory count. (Schedule per business requirements)
  10. PM Kit responsibilities: Planning/Forecasting/Production/Distribution/Inventory controls associated with PM KIT program for both forecasted and un-forecasted PM KIT business needs. (daily)
  11. Complete and provide all inventory related reports on a timely basis. (weekly)

SCOPE:

This position's primary focus is to provide inventory support to the Service department and provide back-up support to the Service Parts Clerk(s). Additional duties include any type of support work needed to assist either the General Manager - Service Operations or the Service Administrator in completion of their daily tasks.

PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

Incumbent is required to make judgment calls on routine matters that are governed by either policy or commonly accepted business practices. The incumbent must have the ability to prioritize requests in a fair and effective manner, while maintaining good relations with all parties. Also must be a self-starter in establishing methods to reduce and maintain acceptable inventory levels.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Inventory work related experience is highly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The position requires frequent lifting (or by other means for movement) of boxes and computer components/parts. Physical demands may include frequent bending; stooping, squatting, standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time and pulling/pushing of parts can also be expected. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely throughout the day. For parts, etc, above 50 pounds and up to 60 pounds, special support will be provided to assist with carrying and lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

SAFETY/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Position is required to maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards. Proper use of personal protective equipment and safety devices are required as stated by the Corporate Safety Document policies and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based in an office area that requires regular and predictable attendance. It will involve working alone on projects and collaborating as part of team. Incumbent may work at different workstations during the day and travel to regional locations in order to support the information technology needs of all company employees. Extra hours may periodically be required, in order to fulfill the functions required by this position. The position will include contact with all SSI employees and requires prompt and friendly handling of all related inquires.

Limited travel may be required related to inventory controls and audit process, typically to regional offices throughout domestic US.
