JOB SUMMARY:

The General Labor - Meat Processor is responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner while working in multiple areas of the cooking side of the production area including receiving, microwave room, grinding area, batching, mixing, scaling, spice room, stuffing, smokehouse, and cooking.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in multiple areas of the cooking side of the production area including receiving, microwave room, grinding area, batching, mixing, scaling, spice room, stuffing, smokehouse, and Cook King.
  • Safely unload and deliver materials from tractor trailers to designated areas and ensure the contents of the order are accurate to the order.
  • Remove the product from cardboard combos and place it into stainless steel combos.
  • Place raw meat into the grinder and track and record meat production levels.
  • Load dumper with proper meat products and spices.
  • Execute the mixing process.
  • Correctly move combos from designated rooms, record temperatures, and weigh products.
  • Properly operate stuffer, grinder, and smokehouse machinery.
  • Use high-pressure sprays to wash on all racks and combos.
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and sanitary manner.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ability to legally work in the United States is required.
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 1-2 years of work experience preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
  • Must be able to work in a high-speed packaging environment.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week.
  • Must be flexible and able to work as needed, this includes overtime when necessary.
