JOB SUMMARY

The Program Director reports to the Regional Director and is responsible for the supervision of staff and program guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure that staff and guests comply with program policies and schedules.
  2. Maintain case management records and progress.
  3. Ensure that all contract requirements are met for the program.
  4. Review all staff reports; contact any maintenance resources in the event maintenance is needed at the facility.
  5. Become familiar with, oversee data input, and run reports with the HMIS data system.
  6. Maintain the Quick Books system for the program.
  7. Maintain and balance the bank account and at the end of each month send all information and checks to Administration.
  8. Communicate closely, in a systematic fashion, with all agencies who are involved in the rehabilitation of the clients.
  9. Participate monthly Coordinated Entry System Meetings (CES), Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and the Fresno Madera Continuum of Care meetings.
  10. Ensure the timely submission of weekly/monthly reports and billings.
  11. Ensure direct report staff follow the agency's timecard, PTO (Paid Time Off), and California's rest and meal period policies.
  12. Will monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed accurately.
  13. Implement appropriate management and supervision of staff.
  14. Perform crisis resolution and conflict resolution with staff and residents.
  15. Perform individual and group life skills training with residents.
  16. Ensure staffing of the program, fill in for absent staff when necessary.
  17. Physical presence in the office is required.
  18. Ensure revenues exceed or equal expenses.
  19. Work closely with the Regional Director in development of program policies.
  20. Will drive on Agency business.
  21. Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the area of social work, vocational rehabilitation, psychology, or related field, OR (4) years' experience in a residential setting or shelter program OR a high school diploma/GED, and (2) years of supervisory experience working with a homeless population or related population.
  2. Knowledge of the Homeless Management and Information System.
  3. Current certified training in emergency first aid procedures preferred.
  4. Skill/Ability to work effectively with program clients.
  5. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  6. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
  7. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  8. Ability to pass a drug screen and TB test.
  9. Must be available by cell phone as needed.
