Overview

Bancroft is currently seeking a Leave Coordinator to join our Human Resources department in Moorestown, NJ.

Bancroft is a leading service-provider for children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities, and those in need of neurological rehabilitation. We provide a full continuum of highly effective services, including special education schools, vocational training, day and residential programs, both on-campus and in the community, and in-home and outpatient rehabilitation services. Responsibilities
    Implement and administer leave of absence programs throughout the organization, utilizing HRIS to maintain, track and report leave information. Serves as subject matter expert regarding leave policies, procedures, and processes for the organization.
  • Administer all Leave of Absence (LOA) Programs for the organization in accordance with established federal/state regulations and established Bancroft processes and procedures, including Family Medical Leaves (FMLA), NJ Family Leave Act(FLA), New Jersey Paid Sick Leave, personal leaves, etc.
  • Serves as the primary contact for employees and management providing advice and guidance regarding LOA policies, procedures, and processes, and eligibility in conjunction with Bancroft's leave of absence programs, including, but not limited to FMLA, FLA, Workers' Compensation programs, New Jersey Paid Sick Leave, etc., in accordance with federal/state benefit rules and regulations, and established Bancroft employee benefit programs, eligibility requirements, procedures, and processes;
  • Maintains communication with affected employees, management, healthcare providers, and state disability, if applicable, regarding individual leaves by tracking and monitoring required information, tracking time taken and remaining, following up as necessary, and duration of the leave.
  • Provides regular reports to Benefits Supervisor as requested
  • Initiates and monitors the long-term disability process with external administrator, as applicable;
  • Assists in the development and implementation of various communication tools to enhance understanding of Bancroft's Leave Administration policies and procedures.
  • Interacts regularly with Payroll Director regarding correctly documenting employee timecards during course of LOAs and the tracking of monthly leave hours.
  • Actively participates in the development and implementation of process improvement systems specifically related to Human Resources to contribute to the quick resolution of problems, enhancement of existing systems and procedures, etc.
  • Serves as the back-up for Benefits Supervisor during scheduled or unscheduled time off or unusually busy periods to maintain compliance and timeliness of benefits activity, communications, filings, payroll updates, etc..
  • Serves as a role model and projects a positive self-image of professionalism, appearance, confidentiality, courtesy, conduct, honesty, fairness, and personal integrity at all times
  • Participates in special projects, as required. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by organizational and departmental needs.
  • Maintains working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to leave of absence management, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA disability benefits, workers' compensation and return to work.
  • Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adheres to mandatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience in HR/Benefits related position- leave of absence management, return to work programs, disability management, ADA case management or workers' compensation. Experience with additional Health and Welfare Benefits highly desirable. Experience working with injuries/illness and physical limitations.
  • Develop an understanding of the physical job requirements in conjunction with input from managers to help facilitate a return to work, when disability or illness requires accommodation.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills as the candidate will need to frequently interact with various HR professionals and senior management.
  • Proficiency in MS Word.
  • Teamwork and collaboration-orientated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, operate within tight deadlines, and escalate issues as necessary Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Experience with Kronos.
  • Valid driver's license required in incumbent's legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions.
