Job Description

Opportunity for a Test Engineer to join the Micro-Motion US Team. The primary focus of the Test Engineer will be to create and manage the execution of detailed test plans to validate product performance and capabilities. This role includes comprehensive support of electro-mechanical testing related to both R&D and production. The Test Engineer will assist in the creation of design requirement and specification documents and will generate plans to ensure adherence to these documents. The Test Engineer has a key role in the development of test programs that ensure product requirements are met and that our products meet the needs of our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead internal or external test planning and execution activities to support product development and production

  • Develop and maintain ownership of test technology strategy and tools, including test equipment selection, implementation, and maintenance

  • Create custom test equipment, if needed

  • Maintain/calibrate existing custom test equipment in a production environment.

  • Develop, author, and finalize test documentation

  • Assist in gathering design input from internal and external customers to develop testable and measurable requirements

  • Ensure product quality by developing sound test plans that verify product functionality and validate that the customer's needs have been met

  • Report technical information via presentations to internal and external customers

  • Work with outside service organizations such as test facilities or development partners to complete test/development activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 1 year of engineering work experience (can include internship experience)

  • Product development and test experience is a plus

  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics and readily use component data sheets is a plus

  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical test equipment is a plus

  • Experience troubleshooting electronics or electrical assemblies is required

  • Experience with test equipment is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
